March 12th, 2012
Fans Can Now Create Music with Hooks from Hit Songs like Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and “Just Dance”
Music Mastermind announces that the “First Look” edition of Zya is now available to all PC owners through ZyaMusic.com or the Intel AppUp center, Intel’s one-stop shop for PC apps. Zya is a new music creation and sharing platform that allows users to easily make studio-quality music and add famous hooks to reimagine hit songs. Zya delivers a new take on music entertainment: a powerful recording tool wrapped in a fun game-like experience.
“Making Zya available to all PC users marks a major milestone for Music Mastermind. We have been hard at work developing Zya for the past four years and are thrilled we can now share it broadly through ZyaMusic.com and the Intel AppUp center,” said Matt Serletic, co-founder and CEO, Music Mastermind. “Zya is a fun and easy way to make music. We designed it for everyone – from those with no musical training to experienced musicians. People are going to make some exciting music with Zya.”
Zya is the first entertainment platform where anyone can collaborate with famous songs. With Zya Song Packs, users can create and share new music that features hooks from hit songs across all popular genres. The Zya Shop now includes Lady Gaga’s breakthrough hits “Poker Face” and “Just Dance.” These songs join a growing collection of Song Packs that include “Like a Virgin,” “Born to Be Wild,” “Bye, Bye, Bye,” and many more.
Since November 2011, Zya’s “First Look” release has been available through an early access program with HP™ across their desktop, netbook and laptop product lines. The expansion of Zya’s First Look to all PC users will enable an ever-growing community of music fans to experience song creation and sharing in an entirely new way.
“At Intel, we constantly strive to bring compelling interactive new experiences that empower people to enjoy entertainment on their PCs and devices in new ways,” said Steve Santamaria, general manager of Intel AppUp center at Intel Corporation. “Zya is a very engaging creation experience that perfectly complements the range of outstanding PC apps our customers have come to expect from Intel AppUp center. We are proud to collaborate with Zya on this project at South by Southwest.”
To celebrate the wide release of Zya, Music Mastermind and Intel AppUp center are hosting an official launch party tonight at SXSW 2012. Renowned entertainer Nick Cannon is the headlining DJ for the party, which will be held at the famed Six Lounge in Austin’s warehouse district. Cannon, cited by People magazine as one of the “Top Ten Most Successful Young People in Hollywood,” will spin a blend of Top 40, hip-hop and R&B tracks. He will be joined by rising young talent DJ Connor Cruise and Kidd Koby Roc (16-year-old phenom from Atlanta). Each of their sets will feature original beats and hooks created with Zya. The party is open to SXSW attendees; doors open at 9:00 pm (CST).
